In Bogota, the average share of the sky covered by clouds shows moderate seasonal variation over the course of the year.

The clearer part of the year begins around December 7 and lasts for 2.7 months, ending around February 27. The clearest month is January, when the sky is clear, mostly clear, or partly cloudy 17% of the time on average.

The cloudier part of the year begins around February 28 and lasts for 4.3 months, ending around July 9. The cloudiest month is May, when it is overcast or mostly cloudy 98% of the time.
